In commemoration of the Financial Literacy Month, we facilitated a session in collaboration with Redeemed Christian Fellowship - Bowling Green State University (RCF-BGSU), focusing on Faith and Finance training for its members. Our discussions delved into the intersection of faith and finance, covering fundamental topics such as giving, the love of money, budgeting, behavioural economics, and financial planning. Additionally, we facilitated the bean game exercise, allowing participants to allocate their limited resources to meet various needs and wants.
Maverick Financial Literacy Inc. (MFLI.) fully implemented its incentivization model for participants who completed financial literacy training by offering wellness gifts. Each participant had the opportunity to choose from a selection of physical and mental wellness items. These included gym memberships, jump ropes, yoga mats, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, Plan-Pause-Reflect journals, resistance tubes, waist trimmers, adult compression tees, long shorts, and sports water jugs. This initiative aimed to promote holistic well-being among individuals engaged in financial education, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical and mental health with financial wellness.
Also, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, the CEO/President of MFLI. Mr. Bankole Kumolu-Johnson had the honor and privilege of standing before a gathering of eager young men at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, entrusted with shedding light on the intricate relationship between men and finances. With reverence for the gravity of the topic, he embarked on a journey of exploration, delving into the multifaceted dimensions of financial responsibility, empowerment, and stewardship that intersect with men. Drawing upon personal experiences, anecdotes, and timeless wisdom, he empowered the attendees with practical insights, strategies, and principles to navigate the complex landscape of financial decision-making and wealth management.
